DAY 7 - A Gift That Cannot Be Replaced

 

This post was hard for me to get through while writing it. The photo today is of a dish given to me by my Aunt  in Tennessee. She LOVES collecting anything that has to do with Coca-Cola. She has collected so many items over the years and they are definitely of great importance to her. Today I went into the kitchen to get something to eat and remembered that my mom brought me these dishes. My Aunt gave them to me for me to have and cherish something that she loves. It was hard for me to write this because of the other reasoning behind the gift to me. My aunt is currently fighting Breast Cancer. This is an UGLY disease and I cannot imagine her having to deal with this. I hate that she is. She is an absolutely strong woman and has us as her family behind her helping her through. Its hard for me because I have not been able to get up to Tennessee to see her mainly and my other family members. I haven't seen her in a number of years since I moved down to Florida and I hate that. I am planning to make sure I get up there within the next month or so in order to spend some time with her. I just want her to know that I love her even though I am so far away and not around at all. I will cherish the dishes that she has given to me but it will never replace her or her love that she has for me and my family.

 March 18, 2011- DAY 4

My family came into town this past week/weekend and I EXTREMELY enjoyed their company. It had been possibly over a year since we have seen them. This photo is of my son AJ and my father. I chose this photo to share because this little boy absolutely LOVES his PaPa!! I think they would be joined to the hip if it was possible. These are definitely two important men in my life and I love them more than anything!

March 19, 2011 - DAY 5

Saturday night was the "SuperMoon" that everyone was talking about. It was supposed to be huge when rising. I heard alot of individuals say that it wasn't anything to big to go nuts over. I wasn't able to see it rise so I just decided to take a photo of the full moon after the event.

March 20, 2011 - DAY 6

 Sunday I had CPR class but afterwards I was able to sit and spend time with the family that night and I love watching my boys play with their cousin. I wish we lived closer to be able to enjoy these times spent with family. The boys went back to TN with their grandparents and aunt and uncle...We miss them already but know they are in good hands and need this time to spend with the family in TN.

DAY 3- QUEEN NALA

 

Our poor Nala had surgery the other day. She got spayed. So in order for her not to mess with her incision we had to put an Elizabethan collar on her. :( She was a good sport about wearing it though which was good. She is healing just fine and is soon to be back to her old self again. She was still under the influence of her drugs given to her by the vet and passed out on the floor. Such a cutie patutie!!

DAY 2- Rebirth of the Spring Season

 

I thought I would capture the new bloom of our tree in the front yard. When we moved down last August it was completely full of leaves and then winter came and it lost all of them. Now it is starting to bloom for the new year!! Slowly but surely it will gain back its voluptuousness of  "Satin Leaves" I think they are called and I will definitely take a picture of that down the line to show the transformation!! <3

Day 1- The Hubby is going to kill me!!

Today I am starting my 365 day photo challenge!!! I am super excited to see what I will be capturing daily for the next year!! So here goes!!! DAY 1:

Well today the kids have been constantly bugging me about some of  Papi's favorite candy that he didn't finish eating yesterday. Peeps is his #1 candy during this time of the year..mainly because this is the only time they sell them. Anywho, I figured I would capture the boys admiring something they are not allowed to eat. Yes I know that its wrong to show the kids the candy...while they are thinking they are getting it..and in the end are not....BUT I would die a slow death if I gave away the Hubby's fav candy..soooooo I'll go pick the boys up a happy meal or something to make it up to them..LOL :)
